Tavalon Participating in Charity Events
Tavalon Tea Bar, an Asian fusion tea company operated by Korean-American John-Paul Lee, is participating in two charity events in March. On the 11th, Lee is donating approximately USD 1,000 worth of premium tea to support breast cancer patients at the Garden Tea Party, hosted by a hair company, DEX New York. Then, Tavalon is also donating USD 3,000 worth of tea to Seeds of Peace, a world peace organization. Lee says, I try to participate in every charity opportunity in order to reach out and help people with needs. Also, I especially feel concern for breast cancer patients because I had a relative who suffered breast cancer; therefore, Garden Tea Party means a lot. He continued, Seeds of Peace is a project engaged by UNICEF and UN so I thought it was a great opportunity to help the children.
Tavalon tea bars opened in San Paulo, Brazil after their openings in Italy and England. Lee stated that he is currently seeking the route to expand into the Korean luxury hotel and restaurants.
차 전문 업체 타발론 티바 자선행사 협력업체 참가
한인 2세 잔-폴 이씨가 운영하는 아시아 퓨전 차 전문 업체 타발론 티바가 3월 한 달간 2개의 자선행사에 협력업체로 참가한다. 이씨는 오는 11일 미용업체인 DEX New York에서 유방암 환자들을 돕기 위해 열리는 가든 티 파티에 1,000달러 상당의 고급 차를 기부하는데 이어 13일에는 세계평화 단체인 시드-오브-피스의 자선 이벤트를 공동주최 3,000달러 상당의 명품 차를 내놓을 예정. 이 씨는 어려운 이웃을 돕고 싶어 기회가 닿는 데로 각종 자선행사에 참가하고 있다며 특히 유방암을 앓았던 친척이 있었던 만큼 11일 열리는 가든 티 파티의 의미가 크다고 말했다. 그는 이어 시드-오브-피스는 유니세프(국제연합아동기금), 유엔과 연계돼 있기 때문에 아이들에게도 도움을 줄 수 있어 참여하게 됐다고 밝혔다. 타발론 티바는 지난 2월초 이탈리아와 영국에 이어 브라질 상파울로에 진출했다. 이씨는 현재 한국 고급 호텔과 레스토랑에도 진출 루트를 모색 중이라고 밝혔다.
