AM New York introduced a tea bar operated by a Korean American on the 14th. Tavalon Tea Bar, located in Manhattan Union Square is drawing popularity amongst foreigners who crave various teas enjoyed by Asians. This fusion tea bar provides not only green, oolong, jasmine, and chrysanthemum tea enjoyed in Asia, but also various fusion tea mixes such as Indian chai, red tea, earl grey, green tea with lemon grass, as well as chai mixed with milk and vanilla. Also, Tavalon provides organic tea for New Yorkers seeking a well-being lifestyle.
In order to create a trendy atmosphere, Tavalon has DJs who play popular music from Madonna to Bob Marley. CEO of Tavalon, John-Paul Lee (shown in the picture) says, We are promoting the benefits of tea to sell our products to Americans who are unfamiliar with tea, the most consumed beverage around the world and the best for good health. He further confirmed, Because we are providing tea from worldwide sources along with music that accommodates the taste of Americans, the perception that tea is foreign will soon disappear. Tavalon tea bar expects to sell its products at hotels, restaurants and also use its online website to sell snacks like chips, cookies and cakes containing tea extracts.
